Description: Email de 11-05-2017______________________No âmbito da exposição "Loulé - Território, Memórias e Identidades" foi solicitada a colaboração do Departamento de Bens Culturais, dirigido pela Dr. Maria Catarina Coelho, da Direcção Geral do Património Cultural. O pedido incidia sobre a verificação da informação existente, a sistematização da informação obtida no âmbito da investigação arqueológica realizada para a exposição e na elaboração de cartografia que ilustrasse todas as temáticas cientificas e museológicas retratadas. Todo este trabalho foi reunido na Base de Dados da Carta Arqueológica de Portugal (Endovélico).Desta forma, como tem vindo a ser habitual, julga-se pertinente apresentar alguns dos números que este trabalho implicou, nomeadamente:- 154 Sítios arqueológicos existentes no concelho de Loulé;-  32 Sítios arqueológicos "inéditos" inseridos no Endovélico;-  90% da informação dos sítios arqueológicos foi complementada;-  78 Sítios arqueológicos que foram georreferenciados ou tiveram a sua localização corrigida;-  19 Mapas temáticos e ilustrativos realizados; -  Mais de 20 dias de trabalho exclusivamente dedicados a este trabalho.De referir ainda que este trabalho não teria sido possível sem a estreita colaboração de Isabel Luzia, Rui Almeida e Ana Matos Lima, entre outros. E que o resultado obtido só foi possível pela disponibilização da Câmara Municipal de Loulé de um ficheiro com a modelação de terreno do concelho de elevada resolução.Porque só podemos proteger o que conhecemos, é ainda nossa sugestão, no seguimento da conversa tida com Ana Matos Lima (Departamento de Planeamento e Administração do Território da Câmara Municipal de Loulé), que o presente trabalho também seja utilizado na gestão municipal do território de Loulé. Assim, com a localização de todos os sítios arqueológicos do concelho de Loulé, à data de hoje, julgamos que estes sejam integrados no Sistema de Informação Geográfica da Autarquia (com uma área de segurança em seu entorno). Deste modo, para além do contributo à exposição acima referida, o presente trabalho é fundamental para se por em prática a premissa da salvaguarda preventiva deste recurso finito, frágil, facilmente destrutível e não renovável que é o Património Cultural Arqueológico. ​Com os melhores cumprimentos e ao vosso dispor,Pedro Barros e Ana Sofia Gomes
